What You’ll Do 

The Manager, Business Development  is responsible for leading a team of 8-12 BDRs in the Enterprise Sales organization, directly reporting to our Global Director of Business Development. Business Development hubs are being built out in Meltwater’s Austin, Toronto, and Charlotte locations. This is a Leadership role that requires someone who excels in building a strong sales culture. The ideal candidate will be an emotionally intelligent coach, mentor, and supportive leader who can help drive quality pipe build for our greater Sales organization. This role holds a lot of upside as the Americas Business Development organization will continue to expand over the next couple of years.

The Manager, Business Development will enjoy collaborating with various business partners in Marketing, Revenue Operations, Sales and Leadership in a supportive environment focused on personal development and career advancement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience  leading a large team of 10 or more of Business Development Representatives in the SAAS industry

  • Experience making hiring decisions and maintaining top talent

  • Experience building out and scaling a BDR team

  • Experience building out a strong office culture
  • Experience with hands-on coaching focused on the details and quality of the relationship, and identify patterns of improvement

  • Experience working with Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, ZoomInfo, 6Sense or equivalents

  • Experience in a fast paced, ever-changing environment and someone who exhibits a growth mindset

  • Enterprise sales experience is a plus
  • Someone who is humble, emotionally intelligent, collaborative, proactive, and motivated

  • Someone who is willing to go in office 3 days per week to build strong culture 

What We Will Give You

  • Competitive Compensation – Base Salary of $105 –$112k USD per + [discretionary] [quarterly] bonus [subject to the terms of the applicable bonus plan]. Total compensation range for this position: $105k - $150k USD per year.
