Meltwater is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our team and contribute to building a robust data infrastructure that supports revenue-focused initiatives. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Revenue Operations, based in our London or Toronto office.
As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to transform raw data into actionable insights. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement robust ETL processes. Additionally, you'll develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for processing and transforming raw data into actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement robust ETL processes.
- Develop and maintain data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
- Optimize database structures for performance and scalability, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Integrate data from various sources, including Salesforce, Marketo, and external APIs, to create a unified and comprehensive view of revenue-related data.
- Implement real-time data integration solutions to support timely decision-making.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of revenue data.
- Implement data governance best practices to maintain data consistency and compliance.
- Work closely with the team to understand data needs and provide well-structured datasets.
- Support the implementation of data-driven models and algorithms in collaboration with Revenue Operations, FP&A, and Business Applications teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, and database management.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience using ETL and reverse ETL tools like Fivetran, Census, Hightouch, and DBT.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
